Firearms Sales & Transfer Policy

This policy explains how we sell and transfer certificate-controlled items. It reflects our commitment to a careful, conservative process that keeps within the law and protects everyone involved.

Items covered

Certificate-controlled items include rifles and other Section 1 firearms, shotguns, their ammunition, and air weapons. These items are treated differently from ordinary accessories throughout the buying process.

No home delivery of controlled items

We never post or courier a certificate-controlled item to a customer’s address. There are only two ways to receive such an item from us:

Collection in person at our premises, Unit 4, Foundry Court, Birmingham B1 1AA; or
Transfer to another Registered Firearms Dealer of your choosing, where you collect in person.

How a reservation works

You reserve the item online and pay a deposit or the full amount. You provide your certificate details and confirm you hold valid authority for the purchase.
A member of staff verifies your certificate details against your reservation. Verification in our system does not replace the physical certificate check - that always happens at handover.
You collect in person, or we arrange the dealer-to-dealer transfer. At collection we check the physical certificate and your photo identification before completing the sale.

Ammunition

Ammunition is collection only. You may reserve it online against the relevant certificate and collect it in store, where your certificate is shown and recorded in our register.

Age

You must be 18 or older to reserve or purchase age-restricted and certificate-controlled items. Age-restricted deliverable goods require age verification on delivery.

Our records

We keep a Firearms Transaction Register and verify certificates as part of every controlled sale. These records are maintained as required of a Registered Firearms Dealer.
